THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Tuesday reiterated its call to irregular overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to immediately correct their status.
In a social media post, the DMW said: “Saudi Arabia granted a six-month grace period, from May 11 to November 10, 2025, for runaway or irregular Filipino domestic workers to correct their legal status without penalties.
“DMW strongly urges affected workers, particularly household service workers (HSWs), to avail themselves of the opportunity. Don’t miss this chance to fix your status,” it added.
The Department said affected OFWs may coordinate with the Migrant Workers Offices (MWOs) in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
“Fix your status in a safe and legal manner, while being guided by the Philippine government,” said the DMW.
It added that the concerned OFWs may do so using the Musaned system of the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
“Workers can regularize their status through automated procedures in the Musaned platform, Saudi Arabia’s official system for domestic labor,” said DMW.
Saudi Arabia is the leading destination for OFWs, accounting for 20 percent of the total number of OFWs in 2023.
