\ICI files first criminal complaint with Ombudsman over flood control project scam; Rep. Zaldy Co, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Region 4B officials named respondents
The Independent Commission on Infrastructure on Monday filed its first complaint with the Office of The Ombudsman concerning alleged irregularities and sub-par construction of a P289.5M dike project in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Named respondents were Rep. Zaldy Co. and contractor Sunwest Inc. and officials of DPWH-Mimaropa Region 4B led by regional director Gerald Pacanan.
The Commission said the complaint stemmed from onsite inspections conducted last week by DPWH Sec Vince Dizon and Governor Humerlito Dolor.
