OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a “high-value drug personality” who yielded two kilos of shabu worth P13.6 million in an anti-drug operation in Negros Occidental last Monday.
PDEA named the suspect by his alias as Khent, 23, a senior high school graduate and a resident of Barangay Suba in Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The suspect was arrested by personnel of the Special Enforcement Team of PDEA-Western Visayas during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bantayanon, Calatrava.
The agency said personnel from the PDEA Negros Occidental Provincial Office and Calatrava municipal police supported the operation.
Seized from Khent were two vacuum-sealed plastic packs containing two kilos of shabu worth P13.6 million, the buy-bust money, two plastic packs, a red eco-bag, and a brown paper bag.
PDEA said the suspect will be charged with violation of Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
