SEN. Christopher “Bong” Go continues to lead an administration-dominated pre-election Tugon ng Masa senatorial survey conducted by OCTA Research from April 10 to 16.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents with a ±3 percent margin of error, showed that Go would have topped the elections if the May midterm polls were held today with a 64.2 percent voter preference (from 64 percent in March), followed closely by ACT-CIS Rep. and Alyansa ng Pagbabago candidate Erwin Tulfo with a 61. 2 percent voter preference (from 61 percent).
OCTA said Go and Tulfo are statistically tied for first to second places.
They are followed by independent candidate Ben Tulfo with a 45.4 percent voter preference (down from 48 percent); former Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III (43.4 percent, down from 46 percent); Sen Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (40.4 percent from 38 percent); former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (39.7 percent from 42 percent); and Sen. Pia Cayetano (NP) (39.5 percent from 41 percent).
Behind them are Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla (38.7 percent down from 45 percent) and Lito Lapid (36.9 percent down from 42 percent); Makati Mayor Abby Binay (35.7 percent from 37 percent); former Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino (32.3 percent up from 28 percent); and Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar (30.4 percent down from 35 percent).
Villar is statistically tied with former Senators Manny Pacquiao and Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, who both had a 30.3 percent voter preference.
Trailing behind them are television host Willie “Wil” Revillame (29 percent), former Interior and Local Government secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. (28.8 percent), Sen. Imelda “Imee” Marcos (27.9 percent), Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino (27.7 percent) and actor Philip Salvador (24.4 percent).
