PROBERS are looking into the possible involvement of a former employee of the House of Representatives official who was killed in Quezon City last Sunday.

Citing the initial results of the investigation, Quezon City Police District spokesperson Maj. Jennifer Gannaban said the victim, Director Mauricio Pulhin, had no known enemy, except a former employee in his private business.

Gannaban said the Pulhin family was planning to file a case against the former employee before last Sunday’s killing of Pulhin, the chief of the technical staff of the House Committee on Ways and Means.

Pulhin, 63, was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in Barangay Commonwealth during the birthday celebration of his daughter.

“Our investigators talked to the family (of Pulhin) and accordingly, they were planning to file a case against the employee. We can consider him a person of interest,” said Gannaban.

Gannaban declined to identify the former employee, pending investigation.

“According to the family, they are not aware of any enemy (of Pulhin), except the person (former employee) mentioned by his wife,” Gannaban. “We’re looking into his possible connection in the case. We’re conducting a thorough investigation.”

Gannaban said they cannot conclude yet if the former employee was indeed behind the killing of Pulhin.

“We are looking into several angles. We cannot conclude as of now,” Gannaban noted.

Gannaban disclosed that they have secured closed-circuit television footage that captured the image of the two assailants.

“We’re in the process of determining their identities and once identified, we are going to release their names so the public can help in locating and in arresting these suspects,” said Gannaban.

Gannaban said QCPD investigators are working around the clock to identify those involved in the killing of Pulhin, “so we can file charges and arrest them.”
