THE Eastern police district (EPD) reported a 13.8% drop in crime rate in its area of responsibility during the last week of May.
Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante, EPD officer-in-charge (OIC), said that the data was gathered from May 25 to 31. Lagradante said the drop in crime rate was due to police visibility as well as coordination with several communities in Metro East, which is composed of the Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan.
