A suspected drug dealer was killed and three of his cohorts were arrested while four Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives were injured in a firefight in Paranaque City last Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement, PDEA said the operation also resulted in the seizure of 4.2 kilos of shabu worth P28.56 million.
PDEA conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Antonio in Paranaque City at around 5 p.m. Wednesday against the suspects. The operation led to a firefight.
“Unfortunately, one suspect died while four PDEA agents were wounded during the encounter,” PDEA said.
The slain male suspect was identified only as alias Sady, 32.
Arrested were alias Lala, 26, female; alias Allan, 34; alias Binny, 23, males.
Seized during the operation were four plastic bags containing 4.2 kilos of shabu, a vehicle, cellular phones, the buy-bust money, identification cards, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, ammunition, and several documents.
PDEA said the suspects will be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs.
“(The) wounded (PDEA) agents were confined to a hospital and taken care of,” PDEA said.
