THE Department of Health (DOH) will hold a family health fair on October 4 and 5 at Luneta Park in Manila to promote disease prevention among Filipinos.
In a social media post, the DOH said the “PinaSigla National Health Fair” will be held beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Burnham Green of Luneta Park.
“The goal of the gathering is to push for health promotion and prevention of diseases in the Filipino family,” said the DOH.
During the family health fair, there will be free activities such as zumba, games for good health, consultation and check-up, x-ray screening and TB assessment, HIV and cervical cancer screening, and vaccines.
Also offered for free are mental health screening, blood donation, first aid lessons, nutrition counselling, and yoga and meditation.
The health department said it expects a high number of participants during the two-day event.
