THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) yesterday warned the public against unscrupulous individuals posing as agents of a Dubai-based recruitment agency.

In a public advisory, the DMW said the public must not entertain individuals claiming to be employees of “Tadbeer,” a firm recruiting household and domestic workers.

“Don’t fall for false promises of employment by those who claim to be recruiters of Tadbeer agency in Dubai,” said DMW.

The Department said those claiming as “Tadbeer” agents entice their potential victims by saying the agency’s office is still under construction.

“They cite this as the reason why they can only transact outside the offices and ask for payments via GCash,” said DMW.

Instead of falling for such job offers, it said it would be better if the public would report such activities.

“Always verify job offers and be vigilant so you can avoid becoming victims of online scammers,” said the DMW.

In addition, it said jobseekers should never do transactions outside the offices of recruitment firms.

“Always do your transactions with licensed recruitment agencies inside their offices,” said the DMW.

Tadbeer is a recruitment firm in Dubai engaged in recruiting housekeeping and domestic workers.
