NEWLY-appointed Public Works Secretary Vivencio Dizon on Monday directed all officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to submit their courtesy resignations amid the continuing probe into irregular flood control projects.
The order covers top DPWH officials from undersecretaries down to the district engineers level nationwide.
Dizon said he wants to review and act on the resignations and any personnel changes within 30 to 60 days.
He assured the public there would be no work disruption at the DPWH since the officials would remain in office and continue their work pending action on their courtesy resignations.
Dizon said he and Trade Secretary Cristina Roque will also review and implement a sweeping revamp of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB), an agency under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and is one of the implementing boards in the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines.
