Caraga wage board sets 3 public hearings

THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – XIII is set to hold a series of public hearings this month in different parts of Caraga to discuss the proposed minimum wage adjustments for the private sector and domestic workers.

In a public notice, the Caraga wage board said three public hearings will be held between November 18 and 25 for all stakeholders in the region.

“Notice is hereby given to the public that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – Caraga will conduct public hearings on minimum wage adjustment for the private sector and domestic workers,” said the Caraga wage board.

The first public hearing is set at the VCDU Hotel in Butuan City on November 18 at 1 p.m.

Come November 20, there will be another public hearing at the Aselco VGP Hall in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur at 1 p.m.

The third public hearing is set November 25 at 1 p.m. at the Maradjaw Events Center in Surigao City.

The Caraga wage board invited all stakeholders to participate in the public hearings.

“Parties, who intend to participate in the aforementioned hearings, may coordinate with RTWPB Caraga and submit position papers,” said the Caraga wage board.

The last wage order issued in the Caraga for private sector and domestic workers took effect back in January 2024.
