THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – XIII has approved wage hikes for private and domestic workers in the Caraga Administrative Region.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said the wage orders were issued motu proprio by the Caraga wage board.

In a statement, DOLE said Wage Order No. RXIII-19 granted a P50 daily wage increase for private sector workers in the region to be given in two tranches.

“This brings the daily minimum wage from P385 to P415 across all sectors upon effectivity, and from P415 to P435 upon implementation of the second tranche on 01 May 2025,” said DOLE.

The wage order is expected to directly benefit 65,681 minimum wage earners in the region.

On the other hand, Wage Order No. RXIII-DW-05 provided a P1,000 increase for domestic workers in the region, bringing the domestic workers sector’s monthly minimum wage from P5,000 to P6,000.

The labor department said the wage increase for “kasambahays” or household helpers is expected to benefit 32,866 domestic workers.

DOLE said both Caraga wage orders will take effect on January 02, 2025.

There are now 13 wage orders issued for the private sector, namely National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Soccsksargen, and Caraga.

On the other hand, seven regional wage boards have issued wage orders for domestic workers, namely Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga.
