AFTER Quezon, other provinces in Region IV-A are set to have their public consultations and hearings conducted by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – Calabarzon.
In its notice, the Calabarzon wage board said four more public consultations and hearings will be held in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal this month.
“This is a series of blended public consultations and hearings on the proposed minimum wage adjustment for the Calabarzon,” said RTWPB – IV-A.
On Friday, August 8, the Calabarzon wage board will hold the consultations at 1 p.m. at the Lipa Grill & Restaurant in Lipa City, Batangas, and via Zoom (bit.ly/45iGIIB).
The next hearing will be at the RSM Restaurant Bacnotan Branch in Calamba City, Laguna, and via Zoom (bit.ly/46FY9to) on August 12 at 1 p.m.
The RTWPB-IVA will also have a public hearing on August 15 at 1 p.m. at the Ynares Event Center in Antipolo City, Rizal, and via Zoom (bit.ly/40MSOfW).
Lastly, the public hearing is set at the First Cavite Industrial Estate Locators Hall A&B in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, and via Zoom (bit.ly/3U6wZ7o) on August 20 at 1 p.m.
Just last Tuesday, the Calabarzon wage board held a blended public consultation for Quezon to kick off the wage review process for Region IV-A.
The Calabarzon wage board urged all stakeholders to participate in the activities.
“This is your chance to voice your perspective – whether you’re from labor or management—on how wages should move forward,” it said.
“Help shape fair and responsive wage policies for our region. Be heard. Be counted,” added the RTWPB-IVA.
The anniversary date for the last Calabarzon wage order is on September 30.
