A businesswoman returning from Singapore was nabbed yesterday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after authorities served a warrant linking her to seven counts of cybercrime-qualified robbery.

Personnel from the PNP Aviation Security Group, along with the CIDG–NCRFU, Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit, arrested the businesswoman moments after she arrived at Terminal 1. She was not identified.

Armed with a warrant of arrest dated April 22, 2025, authorities implemented the warrant of arrest for seven (7) counts of Robbery with Intimidation Against a Person under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code, as qualified by Section 6 of RA 10175, otherwise known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.  Bail for the charges was recommended at Php700,000.

The accused is now under the custody of the CIDG–NCRFU, Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit at the SPD Compound, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City for documentation and further legal proceedings. “This arrest demonstrates our drive for concrete results, not just words,” Brig. Gen Jason Capoy, director of the PNP Aviation Security Group, said. “We will intensify our campaign against wanted persons to ensure that those who break the law cannot hide, no matter where they travel.”
