Bonoan leaves DPWH; Marcos appoints Dizon as new chief

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan has stepped down and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has accepted his resignation, appointing Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to replace him as the new DPWH head, Malacañang said on Sunday.

Marcos accepted Bonoan’s resignation effective September 1 as the DPWH undergoes a cleanup drive over substandard, unfinished, and ghost flood control projects, Presidential Communications Office Secretary Dave Gomez announced.
