Bong Go, Erwin Tulfo shoo-ins in Senate ‘25 race – OCTA survey

REELECTIONIST Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go and ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo would top the Senate race if the midterm elections were held today, the April 20-24 “Tugon ng Masa” conducted by the OCTA Research showed.

Go topped the OCTA survey, with a voter preference rate of 56.8 percent (down from 64.2 percent last April 10-16), followed by Tulfo, who had a 52.7 percent (down from 61.2 percent) voter preference rate.

The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents nationwide, has a margin of error +/-3 percent.

Behind Go and Tulfo were former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III at 42.3 percent (from 43.3 percent), reelectionist Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa at 40.8 percent (from 40.4 percent), and independent candidate Ben Tulfo at 40.2 percent (down from 45.4 percent).

Also on the top 12 are Senators Pia Cayetano at 39.1 percent (from 39.5 percent) and Ramon “Bong” Revilla at 38.1 percent (from 38.7 percent), Makati City Mayor Abby Binay at 37.6 percent (from 35.7 percent), Sen. Lito Lapid at 35.6 percent (from 36.9 percent), former senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson at 34.3 percent (down from 39.7 percent), Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar at 31.9 percent (from 30.4 percent) and former senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino at 31.4 percent (from 32.3 percent).

Trailing behind them are television host Willie Revillame at 30.4 percent (from 29 percent), former senator Manny Pacquiao (29.1 percent), Sen. Imee Marcos (28.9 percent), former Interior secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. (28.5 percent), Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta (27.8 percent), former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (26.3 percent), actor Philip Salvador (25.3 percent) and Sen. Francis Tolentino (25.2 percent).

Go and Dela Rosa are running under the banner of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino- Lakas ng Bayan of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Rep. Tulfo, Sotto, Cayetano, Revilla, Binay, Lapid, Lacson and Villar are from the administration’s “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas” ticket of of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
