LOCAL chief executives of Oriental Mindoro and Bais City in Negros Oriental have thrown their full support to the reelection bid of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for his relentless position against illegal drugs, criminality, and corruption.
On his official Facebook account, Dela Rosa shared photos from his recent meeting with Oriental Mindoro Gov. Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor, who expressed his full support to his reelection bid.
“Thank you my good friend Oriental Mindoro Gov. [B]onz Dolor for the support and prayers,” the former PNP chief said.
During their meeting, Dolor also prayed for Dela Rosa’s success and safety as he campaigns across the country.
In a separate Facebook post, Dela Rosa also posted photos of his meeting with Bais City, Negros Oriental Mayor Luigi Marcel Goñi and thanked him for his support.
“Some LGU chiefs have balls and Mayor Luigi Goñi of Bais City, Negros Oriental is one of them. Thank you Mayor Luigi for your courage to rule and not to be ‘ruled,’” Dela Rosa said.
In his previous campaign speeches, Dela Rosa has said that some LGU officials could not muster the courage to express their full support to the PDP-Laban senatorial slate due to possible political consequences.
Dela Rosa is running under the banner of PDP-Laban, a political party chaired by former president Rodrigo Duterte.
The former PNP chief-turned-lawmaker has vowed that he will continue to be a “fighter” against illegal drugs, criminality, and corruption if he gets a second term at the Senate in the May 12 elections.
