While anti-corruption protests continue at Luneta Park, the People Power Monument, and other locations across the country, the Mendiola area near Malacañang Palace remained calm and free of demonstrators as of 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Heavy security measures are in effect with barricades and deployment of police and fire personnel.

Ambulances and firetrucks are also stationed on standby near the Palace.

Access to the Mendiola gate leading to Malacañang has been restricted to vehicles and pedestrians.

Churchgoers attending Sunday mass at the nearby St. Jude Thaddeus and San Miguel churches are advised to use the Nagtahan gate instead.
