WITH the May midterm election just around the corner, the public’s choice for party-list groups remained almost unchanged, with the ACT-CIS party-list remaining the top choice, the March 18 to 24 Tugon ng Masa survey of OCTA Research showed.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents with a margin of error of ±3 percent, showed that at least 11 party-list groups received at least a two percent voter preference and were guaranteed at least two seats in the House of Representatives if the May elections were held today.
The 11 include the ACT-CIS, Tingog, 4PS, and Ako Bicol, which are guaranteed at least three seats each, followed by the Senior Citizens, GP (Galing Sa Puso), Duterte Youth, Tupad, Malasakit@Bayanihan, Ang Probinsyano, and FPJ Panday Bayanihan, which are getting two seats each.
ACT-CIS received a voting preference of 8.7 percent (up from 4.83 percent in February), followed by Tingog at 5.77 percent (from 3.54 percent), 4PS at 5.4 percent (from 5.74 percent) and Ako Bicol at 4.2 percent (from 3.51 percent).
The Senior Citizens received a 3.7 percent voting preference (from 2.19percent) followed by GP at 3.14 percent (from 3.88 percent), Duterte Youth at 2.87 percent (from 3.16 percent), Tupad at 2.36 percent (from 2.03 percent), Malasakit@Bayanihan at 2.33 percent (from 1.8 percent), Ang Probinsyano at 2.12 percent (unchanged), and FPJ Panday Bayanihan at 2.03 percent (from 2.5 percent).
Other party-lists that received at least 1 percent voter preference and could get at least one seat include Agri (1.94 percent), Kalinga (1.93 percent), Uswag Ilonggo (1.91 percent), Agap (1.89 percent), Anakalusugan (1.77 percent), PPP (1.76 percent), ABP (1.44 percent), Pinoy Workers (1.29 percent), Agimat (1.23 percent), AngKasangga (1.09 percent), Akbayan (1.07 percent), and One Coop 1(.02 percent).
Party-lists with less than one percent voter preference include Pamilya Ko (0.98 percent), Cibac (0.97 percent), Abante Bisdak (0.97 percent), 1-Rider Party-List (0.91 percent), Kusug Tausug (0.91 percent), TGP (0.90 percent), SBP (0.76 percent), United Senior Citizens (0.76 percent), SSS-GSIS Pensyonado (0.75 percent), Philreca (0.75 percent), Trabaho (0.73 percent), and Batang Quiapo (0.71 percent).
