CLOSE to 90,000 employment opportunities are set to be offered by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) when it holds nationwide job fairs as part of the celebration of the 127th Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
In a statement, the DOLE said a total of 89,408 local and overseas job vacancies will be offered by 968 participating employers across 49 job fair sites nationwide come June 12.
“We are set to mark the celebration of the 127th Proclamation of Philippine Independence with nationwide job fairs,” said DOLE.
“Job seekers are encouraged to explore these local job opportunities,” it added.
Jobs to be offered are for the positions of sales clerks/assistants, production operators, call cen-ter representatives, service crew, and loan officers, among others.
In addition, the department said each job fair site will host a one-stop shop of government ser-vices to assist job seekers with pre-employment document processing.
DOLE said the job fair sites will also offer other services, including career development support, labor regulations consultations, and programs for livelihood, skills training, and entrepreneur-ship.
In Metro Manila alone, the DOLE – National Capital Region (NCR) said some 39,000 job vacan-cies will be up for grabs.
They are set to be offered in 15 job fair sites across different cities in Metro Manila.
They include SM Grand Central in Caloocan City; SM City Manila; SM MOA Music Hall in Pasay City; Vista Mall in Taguig City; Parañaque City Sports Complex; SM Center Las Piñas; Robinsons Las Piñas; Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City; SM City East Ortigas in Pasig City; SM MegaMall in Mandaluyong City; SM City Marikina; SM Novaliches in Quezon City; SM Fairview in Quezon City; SM North Edsa in Quezon City; and SM Centerpoint in Quezon City.
