SAN Juan Mayor Francis Zamora has turned over 83 brand-new service vehicles to the San Juan police, various city government departments, and 21 barangays in the city.
Zamora said that the turnover of vehicles is part of the San Juan government’s continuing effort to strengthen the capacity of its frontline units.
The vehicles include:
• 42 vehicles for the 21 barangays of San Juan
(1 Toyota Hilux FX Van and 1 Mitsubishi Triton Pick-up per barangay)
• 35 vehicles for various city government departments, which include:
• 5 Toyota Hilux 4×4 police patrol vehicles and 1 modified SWAT unit
• 1 rescue and monitoring vehicle for the CDRRMO
• Other support units such as a 29-seater mini bus, Toyota Innovas, Hiace vans, LiteAce vans, pick-up trucks, and motorcycles to assist in government operations and personnel mobility.
Zamora reminded barangay officials to ensure that the new vehicles are used exclusively for public service and official business. He also emphasized the importance of keeping the vehicles in good condition, making sure they are well taken care of, securely housed in proper parking spaces, and maintained periodically.
