SEVENTY-FOUR more Filipinos returned home late Wednesday from Israel, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The DMW said 29th batch of returning Filipino workers was composed of 65 caregivers and nine hotel workers who availed themselves of government’s repatriation program.

The batch also included two dependent children, the DMW said.

Since October last year, 1,046 Filipinos have returned, including 901 caregivers and 145 hotel workers.

Thirty 30 dependent children have also been repatriated as of November 20.

The DMW said all returning Filipinos were given cash assistance from the DMW, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority provided them with certificates they can use for free skills training.

The Department of Health provided them with free medical and psychological check-up upon their arrival.

Israel remains at war with militant groups Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
