OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a suspected drug dealer and seized five kilos of shabu at a condominium in Las Piñas last Saturday.
PDEA named the suspect as Kenneth Bandong, whose cohort eluded arrest.
Bandong was arrested at Unit 47 of One Premier on Alabang Zapote Road by virtue of a search warrant issued by Las Piñas City Judge Mildred Jacinto.
“During the operation, authorities arrested Kenneth Bandong and seized transparent plastic containing more or less five kilograms of suspected shabu with a standard drug price value of P36 million,” PDEA said in a statement.
Also seized during the operation were the key to the condominium unit, a money counter, a vehicle, and an identification card.
Bandong will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically for possession of illegal drugs.
In Mountain Province, PDEA and PNP operatives uprooted and subsequently burned marijuana plants worth P9 million in Barangay Saclit in Sadanga town also last Saturday.
“The plants were found on a single location covering an estimated land area of 1,800 square meters,” PDEA said.
No one was arrested during the operation.
