A MAGNITUDE 5.2 earthquake rocked Davao Oriental yesterday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said it was not expecting damage from the quake, which was earlier reported to be a magnitude 5.5 tremor, that occurred at 5:16 p.m.
The quake’s epicenter was some 72 km southeast of Governor Generoso town in Davao Oriental. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 118 km.

Phivolcs said it was expecting aftershocks.
