SIX party-list groups would have won at least one seat each in the House of Representatives if the midterm elections were held today, the February 15 to 19 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.
The Stratbase Consultancy-commissioned survey, which involved 1,800 respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±2.31 percent, showed that the 4Ps group is the top choice for party-list with a 9.6 percent voter preference (down from 11.8 percent in January) and three guaranteed seats should the elections be held today.
The Duterte Youth, with an 8.28 percent voter preference (up from 6.05 percent), is also poised to gain three guaranteed seats, followed by FPJ Panday Bayanihan (4.76 percent up from 2.45 percent) and ACT-CIS (4.46 percent down from 5.41 percent) with two guaranteed seats each, and the Senior Citizens party-list (2.99 percent down from 3.43 percent) and Asenso Pinoy party-list (2.65 percent up from 0.33 percent) with at least one guaranteed seat each.
Under the law, party-list groups that obtain votes of two percent and higher of the total votes cast are guaranteed at least one seat in the House.
