THE government of Croatia is hiring over 400 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said yesterday.
In a statement, the DMW said 435 job opportunities are now open for Filipino workers via a government-to-government (G2G) hiring program with the Croatian Employment Services.
“We continue to expand government-to-government hiring initiatives that guarantee fairness, transparency, and protection for overseas Filipino workers,” the DMW added.
“This marks a significant step in expanding safe overseas employment opportunities for Filipinos in Europe,” it added.
It said the initial job openings in Croatia cover three major positions in the hospitality and food service sectors, particularly 255 room attendants, 110 waiters, and 70 cooks.
To qualify, the Department said applicants must be Filipino citizens aged 18 years and above, have completed at least 10 years of education (secondary level), possess a Tesda NC II certification in the relevant field, be physically and mentally fit for overseas employment, and be proficient in English. Prior work experience is not mandatory, according to the DMW.
Documentary requirements include a valid NBI clearance, a PSA-issued birth certificate, and a passport valid for at least one year before departure.
The DMW said interested applicants must register online via the DMW Portal (https://portal.dmw.gov.ph), secure an appointment, and personally submit their complete documentary requirements to the DMW Central Office in Ortigas or any DMW Regional Office.
The deadline for submission of applications is on September 24, 2025, while interviews for pre-qualified applicants are scheduled on October 15, 2025 in Mandaluyong City.
The DMW said all successful candidates will be employed in Croatia, with competitive salaries ranging from €976.99 to €1,079.24, or approximately P62,500 to P69,000 monthly, depending on the position.
The DMW reminded all job applicants to be cautious and vigilant against illegal recruiters.
