FOUR Japanese were deported yesterday by the Bureau of Immigration for being undesirable aliens.

Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado identified the four as Ueda Koji, Kiyohara Jun, Suzuki Keiji, and Sawada Masaya.

“They were deported for violations of the Philippine Immigration Act, specifically for breaching conditions of stay and being deemed undesirable aliens,” Viado said.

“The deportees also have standing arrest warrants in Japan for fraud and theft,” he added.

Viado said the deportation was coordinated with Japanese authorities to ensure their return to face legal proceedings in their home country.

They were also put on the immigration blacklist to prevent their reentry into the country.

Last year, immigration authorities also deported several Japanese who were allegedly members of the “Luffy” gang wanted by Japanese authorities for their involvement in several crimes, including robbery and fraud.
