A PRIVATE plane crashed yesterday in Ampatuan town in Maguindanao del Sur, killing four people.
“Four bodies were seen at the crash site,” said Lt. Col. Jopy Ventura, spokesman of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao,
He said investigators were still determining the identities of the victims.
He said the mishap occurred at 2:15 p.m. in Barangay Malatimon.
“It’s a small private plane,” he said but could not immediately say what type of aircraft. Local media, however, said it was Raytheon Beechcraft King Air 300 with tail number N349CA.
Ventura could not also say where the aircraft came from and where it was heading at the time of the mishap.
Asked if there were survivors from the plane crash, Ventura said, “They were no signs of any survivor.”
He said personnel from the PNP Scene of the Crime Office are in the area to help in the investigation.
On reports that victims included foreigners, Ventura said, “We cannot confirm that yet.”
