THREE police generals were assigned to new positions, including the director of the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO), who was named head of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) police.
The reassignment was triggered by last Friday’s retirement of CAR police director Brig. Gen. David Peredo.
FEO director Brig. Gen. Ericson Dilag was designated CAR police director, succeeding Peredo.
Dilag, a member of the PNP Academy class of 1996, took over as FEO director last year. Before that, he was the deputy director of the same office.
Brig. Gen. Ronald Gayo, the deputy director for administration of the Bicol police regional office, was named as FEO chief, vice Dilag.
Gayo’s post in Bicol was given to Brig. Gen. Rogelio Raymundo Jr., the outgoing deputy director for administration of the CAR police regional office.
The PNP has yet to announce who will be taking over Raymundo’s soon-to-be-vacated post at CAR.
The reassignments, which take effect today, were signed by PNP director for personnel and records management Maj. Gen. Constancio Chinayog Jr. “by command” of PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Meanwhile, 10 colonels and one lieutenant were also given new assignments.
They were led by Col. Arvin Alcantara, who was reassigned from the Directorate for Logistics to the Directorate for Plans.
The others were Col. Richard Bad-ang (from Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to Calabarzon police regional office);
Col. Harold Depositar (from Directorate for Plans to the PNP Academy);
Col. Jay Dimaandal (from Central Luzon police regional to Negros Island police regional office); Col. Wilson Doromal (from Directorate for Plans to the Office of the Chief PNP);
Col. Frederick Obar (from Office of the Chief PNP to Directorate for Plans); Col. Ariel Red (from CIDG to Calabarzon police regional office); Col. Nelvin Ricohermoso (from Bicol police regional office to Northern Mindanao police regional office).
