THREE dioceses in Central Luzon are set to welcome their new shepherds in Bishop Prudencio Andaya of Cabanatuan, Bishop Roberto Mallari of Tarlac, and Bishop-elect Rufino Sescon of Balanga.
The canonical installations of the three prelates have been set between February and March. Their new appointments were announced by the Vatical last month.
Andaya will be installed on February 3, Sescon on March 1, and Mallari on March 27.
Andaya, prior to his appointment, was the shepherd of the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk.
Sescon served was rector of Quiapo Church in Manila while Mallari was bishop of the Diocese of San Jose.
With the forthcoming installation of the three new bishops, six sees remain vacant, namely the dioceses of Boac, Daet, Ipil, Pagadian, and San Jose, as well as the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk.
