TWO hundred seventeen individuals were arrested in a weeklong drive against illegal drugs and other forms of crimes in Quezon City, police reported yesterday.
In a statement, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said 68 of the suspects were drug personalities who were nabbed during 51 anti-drug operations from March 16 to 22.
The anti-drug operations also resulted in the seizure of P2.84 worth of illegal drugs.
“The success of these operations shows the dedication of the OCPD in enforcing the law and in fighting all forms of crimes,” said QCPD acting director Col. Melencio Buslig Jr.
The QCPD said the arrested individuals included 55 wanted persons, including carnapping suspect Raymond Anthony Hornedo, 43 who has evaded arrest for the past nine years.
