RESULTS of the 2024 Bar examinations are set to be released by the Supreme Court at 12 noon today, Friday.

Associate Justice and 2024 Bar chairperson Mario Lopez said a special en banc session will be held by the High Court before the results are released.

In an interview with the Bilyonaryo News Channel, Lopez said he will propose during the en banc meeting that the 75 percent passing rate be maintained.

In a ruling issued earlier this year but made public only this week, the SC said that the examination scores of individual Bar takers cannot be disclosed without the prior consent of the examinee as these are considered sensitive personal information under Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act.

The list of successful Bar examinees will be displayed on LED walls in the SC courtyard and will also be uploaded in its official website and social media pages including X (formerly Twitter), Threads, Facebook, and Instagram.

A total of 10,483 examinees completed this year’s Bar exams, which were held across 13 testing centers nationwide.

Of the number, 5,234 were new takers; 4,060 were previous examinees; and 1,189 were refreshers.

There were 155 senior citizens who took the Bar exams, and 313 others with special needs.

The youngest taker was 23 years-old, while the the oldest was 78 years-old.

The oath-taking and roll-signing ceremonies for the successful Bar examinees will be on January 24, 2025.
