TWENTY minors were apprehended for curfew violation in Antipolo yesterday.

Mayor Jun Ynares said that, just like during the pandemic, curfew is strictly being enforced in the city from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. for those aged 17 and below.

This is in support of City Ordinance 2017-818, which prohibits minors from being out in the streets without legitimate reasons or unaccompanied by adults.

Violators of the ordinance face the following:

— Minors caught will be brought to barangay halls or police station where they will undergo counselling from the Barangay Council for Protection of Children (BCPC) and will be detained until their parents or guardians arrived to pick them up; and — Parents/guardians will either do community service for not less than 48 hours or pay a ₱2,000 fine.
