OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and their cohort in a raid on a drug den in Bukidnon last Wednesday.

The suspects – Venlijohn Adonis, 37, and Darryl Alima, 39 – are assigned with the DENR offices in Valencia City and Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon, respectively. Their cohort was identified as Vincent Adonis, 39.

PDEA operatives swooped down at the drug den in Barangay Casisang in Malaybalay City.

“The operation led to the arrest of three individuals, including two government employees,” PDEA said.

The operation also resulted in the seizure of 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000.

A suspected drug dealer and his three cohorts were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by PNP and PDEA operatives in Barangay 188 in Caloocan City yesterday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported.

The NCRPO did not identify the suspects who yielded 3.42 kilos of shabu worth P23.25 million.

“This is only the first of many more high-profile anti-drug operations which we will consistently launch in Metro Manila in adherence to our uncompromising stance against the evils of the illegal drug menace,” said NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Antony Aberin.
