POLICE arrested 17 persons for destruction of property, defamation and threats in San Mateo Rizal last Wednesday night.
Col. Felipe Maraggun, Rizal Provincial Police Office (PPO) director, said he received a call that several large vehicles had converged at 24 Jonas St., Santa Barbara Villas 2, Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal.
Those arrested said the land dispute in the property has reached the local courts but the cases are still pending.
The suspects became unruly and started destroying the property of the victims who immediately called for police assistance. The suspects who were arrested and will face appropriate charges were identified as alias Juniel, Edilberto, Marie, Recson, Danilo, Antonio, Jhomar, Eduardo, Everdan, Niel Ryan, Gilbert, Dexter, Kenneth, Mark, Johncel, Jason and Noel.
