THE station commander of the Manila Police District Station 9 in Malate succumbed to heart attack on Monday night.
The MPD said Lt. Col. Michael Garcia complained of having difficulty breathing at past 7 p.m. and was immediately brought to the Manila Medical Center on UN Ave. for treatment.
But at about 9:46 p.m., Garcia was declared dead.

“The cause of death was cardiogenic shock secondary to acute coronary syndrome- myocardial infarction,” the MPD said.
Before his appointment as station commander of PS9, Garcia served as the chief of the MPD District Community Affairs Development Division. — Ashzel Hachero
