The city government said A. Bonifacio and Tramo Streets where the city’s public cemetery is located will be closed to traffic while those going in and out of the Manila Memorial Park will be provided only with two lanes.

Another lane will be assigned to those just passing through the area.

In Makati, the city’s Public Safety Department will enforce road closures and traffic rerouting starting today, October 31, to November 2 in observance of Undas.

Kalayaan Ave. from Zapote St. to N. Garcia St., South Ave. road section from J.P. Rizal to Metropolitan Ave., Vito Cruz Ave. Extension road section from South Avenue to Zapote St., and Pililia St. road section from Kalayaan Ave. to Baler St. will all be closed to vehicular traffic.

Makati Ave to Pasong Tirad St. and J.P. Rizal to Metropolitan Ave. will be temporarily converted into a two-way traffic flow during the same period.

Earlier, MMDA Chairperson Romando Artes said the agency will deploy 1,448 traffic enforcers and other personnel from its Special Operations Task Force, Road Emergency Group, Metro Parkways Clearing Group, and the Traffic Discipline Office for Undas.

Artes said aside from managing traffic flow, they will also be tasked to clear obstructions on roads leading to cemeteries as well as the cleanup operations around major cemeteries.

The MMDA will also temporarily suspend the implementation of the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or the number coding scheme on November 1 and 2.
