METRO Manila Council president and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said they may pass ordinances to help entrepreneurs and businesses conserve water.
Zamora said that despite continuous rains last week, the water problems in Metro Manila are far from over.
According to the weather bureau, the Angat Dam reservoir must reach the spilling level of 210 meters before the year ends to solve the looming water problem in Metro Manila.
Recent reports showed that Angat Dam has reached its minimum operating level of 180 meters due to the continuous rains.
Zamora said they are hoping they won’t have to resort to putting a “cap” on water use as it will affect the livelihood of several establishments. — Christian Oineza
