GAMES and Amusement Board Chairman Baham Mitra yesterday did not answer questions on whether the agency is empowered to suspend any league but said the GAB, being the issuer of licenses, also has the power to take them back.
Mitra added the GAB did not suspend the Mindanao leg of the VisMin Cup but only postponed it.
“Hindi naman namin sinuspend. Hinold lang,” Mitra said.
Reacting to Chooks-to-Go president and sports patron Ronald Mascariñas’ statement, Mitra said: “Mabuti na nagsasalita siya (Mascariñas).
“We understand his position kasi sponsor siya. Okay na iyon. Tapos na iyon. We accept his comments.”
