METRO Manila and 56 other areas in the country will be under Alert Level 1 status from April 1 until 15 amid the continuing improvement in the country’s coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic condition, Communications Secretary and acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar yesterday said.
Andanar said the cities under Alert Level 1 from April 1 to 15 include: Baguio, Dagupan, Santiago, Angeles, Olongapo, Lucena, Puerto Princesa, Naga, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Ormoc, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Surigao, and Butuan.
Provinces under Alert Level 1 are Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Albay, and Catanduanes in Luzon.
Under Alert Level 1 in the Visayas and Mindanao are the provinces of Aklan, Guimaras, Capiz, Siquijor, Biliran, Camiguin, Bukidnon, and Surigao del Sur.
Andanar said the following component cities and municipalities are also under Alert Level 1: Lagawe, Lamut in Ifugao; Besao, Bontoc, and Sagada in Mountain Province; Bambang, Bayombong, Dupax Del Norte, Quezon, Solano, Villaverde in Nueva Vizcaya; the city of Tayabas, Lucban, Mauban, Pagbilao, Plaridel, Polillo, Quezon, and Sampaloc in Quezon; Lubang in Occidental Mindoro; Culion in Palawan; Daet and San Vicente in
Camarines Norte; Bombon, Cabusao, Camaligan, Iriga City, Presentacion (Parubcan), and San Fernando in Camarines Sur; Barcelona, Bulusan, Casiguran, city of Sorsogon, Gubat, Juban, Magallanes, and Prieto Diaz in Sorsogon.
Also under relaxed quarantine status are San Jose and Sebaste in Antique; Anilao, Balasan, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Barotac Viejo, Bingawan, Concepcion, Dueñas, Guimbal, Janiuay, Lemery, Mina, Pototan, San Dioniso and Santa Barbara in Iloilo; Enrique B. Magalona (Saravia), La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Sagay City, and San Enrique in Negros Occidental; Batuan, Corella, Dimiao, Jagna, Lila, Loay, Loboc, Sikatuna, and Tagbilaran City in Bohol; Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental; Arteche, Balangkayan, Can-Avid, city of Borongan, Jipapad, Maydolong, Salcedo, San Policarpo, Sulat, and Taft in Eastern Samar; Albuera, city of Baybay, Dulag, Matag-Ob, Palo, and Tunga in Leyte; Capul, Lapinig, Lavezares, San Antonio, San Jose, and Victoria in Northern Samar; Marabut and Pagsanghan in Western Samar; and Anahawan, city of Maasin, Hinundayan, Libagon, Limasawa, Macrohon, Padre Burgos, and Pintuyan in Southern Leyte.
In Mindanao, under Alert 1 is also imposed in Dapitan City, Dipolog City, Piñan (New Piñan), Polanco, and Rizal in Zamboanga Del Norte; Ipil and Tungawan in Zamboanga Sibugay; Bacolod in Lanao del Norte; Clarin, Jimenez, Ozamiz City, and Panaon in Misamis Occidental; Alubijid, Binuangan, City of El Salvador, Initao, Laguindingan, Libertad, Lugait, Naawan, Sugbongcogon, and Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental; Montevista in Davao de Oro; Cateel, and city of Mati in Davao Oriental; city of Kidapawan, and President Roxas in North Cotabato; Polomolok, and Santo Niño in South Cotabato; city of Tacurong in Sultan Kudarat; Carmen, Jabonga, Magallanes, and Nasipit in Agusan del Norte; Bunawan, Loreto, Prosperidad in Agusan del Sur; Loreto in Dinagat Islands; and Tagana-an in Surigao del Norte.
On the other hand, Andanar said the following areas are under the stricter Alert Level 2 also until April 15: Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quezon; Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and Masbate in Luzon.
Antique, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Western Samar in the Visayas; and the cities of Isabela, General Santos and Cotabato; Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental; North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi in Mindanao.
Andanar said all other component cities and municipalities not mentioned are classified under Alert Level 2.
Business establishments and offices in areas under Alert Level 1 are already allowed to operate 100 percent capacity. Public transports are also already permitted to accommodate 100 percent of their seating capacity.
