A Kapuso since 1996, Tiangco has been a pivotal figure in Philippine journalism for over three decades, anchoring prominent programs such as “Saksi” and “Frontpage: Ulat Ni Mel Tiangco,” and being a pioneer of “24 Oras.” Her renewal coincides with the 20th anniversary of the flagship newscast “Saksi.”
Recognized for her contribution, Atty. Gozon hailed her as an institution in Philippine media.

Tiangco, meanwhile, thanked viewers for making 24 Oras the top Filipino TV program in 2023. Notable attendees at the celebration included GMA Integrated News consultant Grace Dela Peña-Reyes and various GMA executives.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Tiangco’s influence extends beyond news, encompassing roles in drama and philanthropy. In 2019, she was honored with the Rotary Peace Award, reflecting her impact beyond journalism.
