PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. over the weekend asked his ardent supporters and members of the media to continue supporting his administration and its bid to promote unity among Filipinos and help the country achieve progress.

The President, during a meeting with his supporters last Saturday, thanked them anew for their support during the elections and reiterated his call for their continued support amid the multiple challenges the country is facing.

We are not campaigning for a candidate, nor for a party, not for the elections but for what we must do to address the problems you, all of us and the Philippines face… I am still depending on your help. I am still hoping that you are still there helping send our message across),” he said.

He reaffirmed his promises to promote programs that will uplift the lives of Filipinos and urged everyone to do their share to help others and show their love for their fellowmen and the country in general.

Marcos also recalled that when he addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York last September, he talked of Filipinos being united to address current challenges such as poverty.

Late Saturday night, the President also met the members of the Malacanang Press Corps., Malacanang Cameramen Association and the Palace Photographers Association over dinner and thanked them for their help and support of the government’s public information efforts.

“This is our version for all of you who have been so supportive… I know you have been working very, very hard to get the news out so that people know what’s going on, what we are doing here,” Marcos said.

He also urged them to use the Christmas holiday to reflect on what has happened in the past year and how to move forward in the coming new year.

“It’s always important to take a step back a little bit, recharge and think again about what we are doing and that’s what Christmas is to me,” the President said.
