PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. retained his “good” net satisfaction rating at +47 in the last quarter of 2023, almost unchanged from +44 in the third quarter, the December 8 to 11 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.
This, however, was 21 points down from the President’s +68 net satisfaction rating in December 2022.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±2.8 percent, showed Marcos retaining his satisfaction rating of 65 percent in December.
Undecided was at 17 percent (up from 14 percent in September) while dissatisfied was at 18 percent (down from 21 percent).
This yielded a net satisfaction rating of +47 (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied) in December, up from +44 in September.
SWS said the President’s net satisfaction rating rose in all areas except Mindanao with +52 (from +48), followed by the Visayas at +51 (up from +33), and Metro Manila at +44 (up from +36). It fell to +38 in Mindanao (from +50).
Marcos’ net satisfaction score also rose in rural areas with +56 (from +44) but fell to +39 (from +45) in the urban areas.
The polling firm also found that the President’s net score rose among men at +53 from +47 but remained steady at +41 among women.
Marcos’ net satisfaction score also rose among the 25-44-year-old age group at +53 (from +45) and 45-54-year-old group at +49 (from +44), but remained almost unchanged among the 18-24-year-olds at +53 (from +52), 35-44-year-olds at +43 (from +42), and 55 years old and older with +44 (from +43).
SWS said the President’s net satisfaction rating also rose among elementary graduates at +56 (from +41), those with no formal education or had elementary education at +51 (from +47), and is almost unchanged among college graduates at +36 (from +34). It fell among high school graduates +45 (from +48).
