PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. on Saturday night hosted a concert as a treat to members of the Armed Forces and heir families.
The Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting also aims to promote culture and the country’s world-class talent.
The concert, held in front of the Malacañang fountain, featured artists from different parts of the country, including the Samiweng Singers and spoken word Artist Kenli Marc Sibayan, both from Ilocos Norte; harpists Benedicto Costaños Sr. at Benedicto Costaños Jr. of Cebu; rappers Marco Paolo Revidiso of Parañaque City, A.K. Fella, Glnn, and MC Julyo from Cavite.
Also performing were Poppert Bernadas of Davao, Princess Vire of Quezon City, Limuel Llanes of Quezon province, and Jeddi Cris Celeste of Iloilo City.
Also attending the concert were First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, Vice President Sara Duterte, former President Gloria now Rep. Macapagal Arroyo, some Cabinet members, and Senators Cynthia Villar, Jinggoy Estrada and Francis Tolentino.
Malacañang said the first KSP was held as tribute to the military’s sacrifice and heroism in maintaining the nation’s sovereignty, peace and security.
A series of concerts will be held in different parts of the Palace ground throughout the year.
KSP is an initiative of the President and was spearheaded by the Office of the President, Presidential Communications Office, Social Secretary’s Office, and Presidential Broadcast Staff — Radio Television Malacañang.
