THE Archdiocese of Manila is set to open a confession chapel that will be accessible to the faithful 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In a report by the Church-run Radio Veritas, Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula bared the plan to open the Divine Mercy Chapel for 24/7 Confessions soon.
“We envisioned that this can be a place where anytime a person can avail himself of the Sacrament of Reconciliation,” said Advincula.
He said the establishment will be helpful as each individual can feel the need to reconcile with God at different times.
“God has always been waiting for the preeminent moment when a person can feel, can do, and can approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation,” said Advincula.
The 24/7 confession chapel is set to be established at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary Complex in Makati City.
Advincula recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Divine Mercy Chapel for 24/7 Confessions.
