When it comes to being romantic, many can learn a thing or two from much-awarded host and actor Luis Manzano, who was recently introduced by chocolate brand Toblerone as their “love guru.”
Beloved for his generosity and down-to-earth ways, Luis is ready to dispense tips and tidbits on how to make your special someone’s day sweet or how to keep the fire burning.
The 40-year-old proudly stated during a recent Zoom press con that a lot of sound relationship advice was shared to him by his mom, much-awarded actress and politician Vilma Santos.
Now that he’s settled and happy with his wife, Jessy Mendiola, Luis said that if he could give a love advice to his 20-year-old self, it would be words of assurance.
“It’ll all work out,” he said, “I think when you are in your 20s, early 20s, even 30s, minsan 40s pa nga, you sometimes question a lot of things. You question why things happen, why things did not happen, but at the end of the day it will all work out.”
For those who tend to be clueless on what best to give their loved ones this season of hearts, Luis said there’s really no contest — it’s the Limited Edition Toblerone Valentine’s Day Pack.
The Toblerone Valentine’s Day pack has a blank pack feature where personalized greetings may be written. It also has a special QR code function where a video message may be recorded.
Luis said Toblerone remains a favorite after all these years. It’s perfect with its iconic look and rich flavors. If he could create his own Toblerone variant, what would its flavor be?
“I wouldn’t change it [because] it’s that iconic. Like what I mentioned nga, when you go through an aisle in a supermarket, you’d see a bunch of chocolates, sobra, malilito ka when titingnan. But once you see a Toblerone pack, it is impossible na hindi mo alam na Toblerone pack ‘yun even from a distance.
“In terms of flavor that I would want, if ever man I want to create my own, well one is I’m already sold ‘cause I am a fan of milk chocolates, so ‘yun pa lang milk, white, dun talaga big, big fan. But if I were to create my own, I was thinking on how they would make Hazelnut Toblerone. Sana, that would be, if I were to create my own flavor, my own variant.”
