A LOW pressure area (LPA) was monitored yesterday off Tuguegarao City in Cagayan and will be bringing rains in many areas in Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

PAGASA weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said there is a small chance the LPA will intensify into a tropical depression but urged residents to be affected by the LPA to be alert.

In a weather bulletin issued at 4 p..m yesterday, PAGASA said the LPA was some 250 km east of Tuguegarao City as of 3 p.m. yesterday.
