Lito Lapid back on the big screen

Sen. Lito Lapid and son, Undersecretary Mark Lapid, will soon be seen in a movie together, “Apag.”

“Apag,” to be shot in Pampanga, will feature Cannes best director Brillante Mendoza at the helm.

The filmmaker as well as the Lapids are from Pampanga. Lito and Mark were also former governors of the province.

It’s about food, na very well known po kami. Lalo na sa sisig, at iba’t ibang pagkain. Akmang akma.”

Actor Coco Martin, who was a frequent collaborator of Direk Brillante in his early indie films, will also be part of the movie.

Meanwhile, father and son are also together in throwing their support for Ang Pinuno Party-list led by Howard Quinto. Quinto said their party-list will push for free homes for abandoned senior citizens as well as permanent residences for all Filipinos, through the National Housing Development, Production, and Financing Act.
