PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. has appointed the son of former Civil Service Commission chairwoman Karina David and professor Randy David as undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Presidential Communications Office announced yesterday.
Carlos Primo Constantino David, a professor at the University of the Philippines and head of the university’s Environment Monitoring Laboratory, was appointed last December 28, 2022 but a copy of his appointment paper was only released yesterday.
David’s parents are known supporters of former Vice President Leni Robredo, who ran against Marcos in the May 2022 elections.
The PCO said the Marcos administration is pushing for unity regardless of political affiliation.
