OPERATIVES of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested the leader and a member of a gunrunning group in separate operations in Cavite last Tuesday.
The suspects were identified as Rhoderick Ong Lagamson and Lousito Esguerra Sanchez, leader and member, respectively, of the Lagamson gunrunning group operating in Cavite.
Lagamson was arrested in Barangay San Francisco in General Trias City at around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday during the implementation of a search warrant.
Seized during the raid were a caliber .45 pistol, a caliber 9mm barrel, two magazines, and 115 rounds of ammunition.
Sanchez was arrested at around 8:45 a.m. in Barangay Daang Amaya 1 in Tanza, Cavite also by virtue of a search warrant.
Recovered from him were a cal. 45 pistol, a 9 mm pistol, two magazines, 19 rounds of ammunition and a black holster.
A case for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law will be filed against the suspects, the CIDG said,
